What seriously pisses you off?

I'm not an angry person by any means. In fact, I very rarely get angry. Almost none of my friends can recall me ever showing anger. But a few days ago I got really fucking pissed.

I've been raised around soldiers. My dad, uncles, grandfathers, cousins served in the military. Most of my dad's friends were also soldiers. I grew up knowing the sacrifice these men endure for their country and people. I personally don't think I'll like serving in the military but that's why I respect them even more. Thanks to my dad's influence (and possibly brainwashing) I have nothing but utmost respect for soldiers of every nation. Young men give up their youth and freedom so they can give up their lives for us.

It fucking pisses me off when people don't know that and take it for granted. I met some girls who were like this. They were talking about how guys should go to the army and learn some discipline. One girl even advocated mandatory military service for all guys saying that's what men should do.

I was like WTF. I don't think they had any idea what being a soldier implies. They didn't know that soldiers DIE in wars. It would've been bad enough if it was a dude who didn't serve talking shit, but them being girls made it worse. What do fucking women know about being a man? Should I say that women should shut the fuck up and stay in their place?

I was pissed. I wasn't bouncing off the walls and screaming angry, but I did surprise them a little with my aggression. They know me as a real laid back guy. This wasn't the first time this happened when some idiot pissed me off with his/her view on soldiers.

Other than that, I get real irritable if I miss training. One time I decided to skip BJJ to meet a friend. The bastard has something up at the last minute. It was too late by then to go to BJJ since class started like an hour ago. That shit irritated the shit out of me. Training is what keeps me sane too.

Er...I know in Scandanavia military service is mandatory. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I like you grew up around military. Parents, grandparents, uncles, and most of my friends from high school all serve so it pisses me off when people talk bad about soldiers especially now because people can't associate the difference between the war the administration decided and a soldier doing his job. I don't like some of the decisions my boss makes at work but I do them because it's my job.

I get pissed off at people that call themselves 'engineers' yet don't have an engineering degree. This guy at my work calls himself a senior project engineer, yet he is nothing more then a licensed electrician.

That stuff irritates me badly too. Women has no right talking about who "needs" to go to the army, or any person who has not served for that matter. I served in the army 1 year because I had to, all Norwegian men (at that time) had to do 1 year in the army.

At the time I did not want to go, I wanted to go to school etc.. but instead I was shipped to a base way up north in Norway, above the polar circle aprox 1000 miles away from my home and girlfriend.
I was put on a M113 as a driver. Do you have any idea how cold it is driving one of these fuckers with an open hatch in -35 degrees celcius for several hours straight??

Anyways, I had some really tough, dark and depressing moments that year, but I also had some moments I would not want to be without.. In conclusion..no man or woman who has not served themselves has any right to justify mandatory military service.. but it was one hell of a year and I am glad I experienced it! Also, there is no doubt in my mind that it can do many people some good serving in the army, but it is not for everyone.

Much respect for people who serve/served in the military. I plan on enlisting in the Air Force or Army very soon.

What pisses me off is when my football team loses.
What pisses me off is when I miss a chance to get laid.
What really pisses me off is when people pick on others to feel better about themselves.

The fact that you served doesn't give you the right to justify mandatory military service either. In fact, the right to NOT defend his country should be a human right.

To answer TS, there's something that really pisses me off when people include you in their vision of a country/nation like it's obvious that you're part of it. When you tell that you don't care about their "nation" and they look at you like you're some kind of hater or racist when it's actually quite the opposite.
