What a Crock of Crap!

Does anyone else ever get pissed off about these computer games. I'm not much of a gamer as it is, but I finally found one game (series) Warcraft and all it's expansions that I really enjoy, but we've gone from the simple buying expansions to now having to join the World of Warcraft to the expansion to it, but you basically have to play it on-line, pay for it monthly and it's almost impossible to play in a singular way like I am using to playing.

I don't play with others very well, why the hell didn't they satisfy everyone and making a version for the single players like they have been doing also. Not just the on-line with others. They've totally ruined my way of playing.

Someone mentioned Starcraft or Diablo, anyone have any experience with these, are they pretty good games. I've been a Warcraft junkie only. Appreciate any advice on these two. Thanks.

i liked MMORPG's myself, so I really can't help ya there. Try playing with a friend, i find it makes it more fun to play.

If not, then I guess go back to one player games.

If you like Single player like I do, Diablo 2 is definitly for you. You can pick it up cheap together with the expansion now and it is definitly worth a go! If you ever get tired of single player, there's always free multiplayer as well. Warcraft definitly failed in the fact that it forces you to get huge groups for some parts of the game. Which I don't really mind, but the problem is that it takes a few hours just to set stuff like that up, and then like 3 hours to do an instance, boooooring.
Diablo 2 you can solo everything if you play right, and the replay value of that game is endless.
Starcraft is a strategy so it's completely different. They have good single player campeigns, but multiplayer with that game is the best feature, also worth a try, but if you are into Action RPGs, go with Diablo 2.

Consoles do make things a lot easier, but so far my all time favourites were on the PC.

The Total War series is great if you have an imagination. Its an RTS but with braveheart style battles and a turn based map.
