I was thinking more along the lines of causes for divorce, infidelity, lying, selfishness, etc etc.......
I'm not saying that atheists don't have a conscience, we all do. The difference generally between the two is that theists don't ignore their conscience. Ofcourse even theists at times have done terrible things, but they too would have known what they were doing was wrong. The difference generally between a theist and an atheist is admittance of guilt.
When someone continually denies or rejects their implanted moral conscience, they also reject the one who put it there, and the concept of a creator becomes more and more alien to them.
