Bendigo Shafter by Louis L'Amour.

My dad got me into him when I was younger so I read a few of his westerns when I raid the old man's bookshelf.

Just finished Murder Machine and it was excellent for anyone who enjoys mafia books. That is what I like to read but it's hard to find any at the bookstore that I haven't read.

I'm in the midst of reading all of Dennis Lehane's novels. Far and away the best one is "Shutter Island" Simply an amazing novel, and if the movie is done right it will be great

I studied for about two hours a day for about a month. Roughly 80 hours. I probably over studied, but I crushed it. It's a six hour test and I finished it in a little over two hours. I had an options heavy test, which was good, because once you understand them they are easy.

I'm reading The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkein. Slow in the beginning and hard to keep up with all the characters, but still a really good story.

Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi (the modern english version) It's a book of tactics that can be used in combat. good read.

Also Secret Tactics by Kazumi tabata. Expands upon the Book of the Five Rings and adds to it.

I've never read any of his Odd books. I love Dean Koontz, but they've never appealed to me.

What's your favorite Koontz book? I think I'd have to go with The Taking (can't wait for Raimi's miniseries) followed closely by Cold Fire and False Memory.

From Rules of Prey all the way through to Broken Prey, Sandford just never slowed down. Every book from Rules of Prey through to Broken Prey was great, some better than others, of course, but no duds.

I was disappointed with his last two (Invisible Prey and Phantom Prey) but the rest are all superb, especially the first three in the series. The doctor in Eyes of Prey is one of my favorite fiction villains. There's also a female contract killer that's introduced in I believe Mortal Prey who made for a bad ass character.

I definitely recommend continuing with the series.

The Orc King, newest Drizzt book from R.A. Salvatore. Just came out in paper back (couldn't afford the hard cover which came out a while ago lol). I'm about half way through and loving it.
