Im a huge Doors fan, I`ve met them a few times as well.

But this song was quite crap. The lyrics are OK.
When he recorded them, it wasnt ment to be put in songs. At least not right away. I agree with this is a hippie/new age crap production, and misuse of his poems.

If you want great lyrics with fantastic music and production, get the American Prayer album. Its one of the best.

But great find, I was really exited when I clicked on this thread, and amazed that I hav`nt heard of it before. But I was honestly quite dissapointed. This doesnt hold anything near the Jim Morrison/Doors standard.

Hmm.
I`ve been to a few Doors show, and every single show Ian Astbury (who did the vocals) shouts "fuck Perry Farrel!!"
I dont know why, but perhaps because of this.

EDIT: Listened to it again, and I just find the beat and the music too imposing if you know what I meen. Cool organ part tho..

2nd Edit: OK, its growing a bit on me now, lol.
But I still think its in no way comparable to anything the Doors made, or the American Prayer.
