here is a doozy for you all.

The Hubble telescope is the most powerful telescope in space. If you point it at the moons surface it can pick out rocks.

In the 1960's the USA supposedly landed on the surface of the moon, and left several things there when they left, including an American Flag.

Why is it that they have not used the Hubble telescope to look at that spot and show everyone the American flag there?

You would think this would be one of the first things America would do, especially when there are people who don't believe we ever made a moon landing. And it would have also been a great picture that would boast America's dominance in space.

Anyone have any answers on that?

Interesting. I want to know what the hell that has not been done. I didn't know it could see that close up.

because it takes a lot of coordination to take a picture of something in the universe. they would rather get pictures of things that are extraordinary, like space clouds and galaxies, not of some flag. this is to prove that the space telescope is worth the money they spent on it.

The moon landing was probably on the "dark side of the moon." While not actually dark, it is constantly facing away from earth due to the timing of its orbit and rotation. Therefore, this picture is not possible to take. That is my educated guess.

so how do they have pictures of earth from the moon if they were on the dark side? I hear (see) what you're saying but I think they landed on the earths side of the moon.
