So I think I know what I'm going to do know.
I'll take a weightlifting class that meets three times a week. I'll focus on compound and olympic lifts to gain strength and explosiveness.
I'll join the cycling club for my first semester, and the lacrosse team for the second. The lacrosse team at my school sucks; I can make the team if I'm in shape.
I'll find a few training parters to box with and just spar with them. This should help me improve my technique and ability to take a punch--two things I need to work out. I should pick up a pair of focus mitts to help out here.
As far as the Jiu-Jitsu training goes, I don't really know what I'm going to do! I guess if I can convince someone from the gym to give me a ride, I'll be golden. Other than that, I'm beat. I'm not going to give up on it though.
So my plan is to get into the best possible shape I can, get a job to help pay for the mma classes, and then eventually attend mma classes.
