Well here’s my situation. I’ve taken Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes and boxing lessons for the last two and half months. I box 3-5 times a week and go to jiu-jitsu 4 times a week. I enjoy the training and I’m addicted to it. I would like to continue my training in college, but it’s going to be hard! I would also like to fight in amateur events. Several guys I train with do so, and they've been pretty successful.
There is a mixed martial arts school 15 minutes away, but it costs $150 a month and I don’t have access to a car this year. Next year, I will have one. My school does NOT have a wrestling team, or any martial arts club sports. Participating in a bi-weekly unofficial boxing club is the only thing I can think of to help my training.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can train in college?
Thanks a bunch.

Has anyone suggested going to a college with a wrestling or boxing team?

It's up and down huge hills. There aren't many bike paths either. It's really about 8-10 miles if I want to stay on a bike path or sidewalk.

get a punching bag and try to find some other people that do MMA at your college. Try to find training partners through craigslist, facebook, the college messageboards, etc., etc.
Until then jog and do push ups and pull-ups all day.

This sounds pretty close to what I'm doing now. I'll try to find partners through facebook since I have a facebook account. Thanks for the tips.

People like that just want attention. To average 35 posts per day, this guy must want a LOT of attention. Poor guy.

Damn, after reading page 1 I thought I was in the bareknuckle forum. I have no legit advice. Just suprised at responses for this being the Mayberry. Unless you can find a way to the school, do a lot of weights and cardio.
