IMO the best thing/one of the funniest things about that movie was some of the fucked-up dialogue the characters said including:
the one you mentioned, Bison to Chun-Li: "the day Bison came to your village was the greatest day in your life...for me it was just Tuesday"
between Guile and Cammy: "Col. Guile how are yo feeling?"
"half-dead"
"and Bison?"
'ALL DEAD!!!"
btwn Guile and a UN representative after Guile decides to invade southeast Asia:
"Colonel Guile you've lost your mind!!"
"No....you've lost your....BALLS!!!!!!"

Peter is a little nerdy loser. I thought Tobey McGuire was good casting.

Stallone as Judge Dredd, complete waste of a virtually limitless comic franchise.

No, he got declined by the studio before they even started production because he went on a serious drug binge and (I think) got his ass arrested, despite previously being told to clean up and promising he would do so.
He blew it.

I was a big 2000ad fan and that movie was sheer bollox, so many inaccuracies! Should have done like other comic heroes and had a virtual unknown play the part

Agreed. As a somewhat comic book/graphic novel fan, a big name is usually a disservice and distraction. Fantastic Four, X-men, Hulk, etc., I can see, but some of the newer, darker visions and "comic book" endeavors strive beyond the hokey blanket treatments of story and character. People are too quick to sell out for cheap angles.
What's being done with Indiana Jones, imagine being done with the Judge Dredd world. No comparison what could be done, & the better served with lesser-named actors.
