Usually it's the servers who have to make prep the soup. Most everything else is done by the cooks. It's the order that takes the most work and for the smallest reward.

greatest thread....read all posts...took me about a day...ok lets see what i can contribute..
Rite Aid-Only Perk of working there was the employee ice cream scoop....when i worked there a single scoop would cost 99 cents, so when an emlpoyee was on break/lunch, they would go to a coworker and geta "pint" of ice cream for 79 cents with the discount and had about 3 pints of it...lol...not amazing, but fun to do...also since i was 18 id have my friends come in and buy like a 2 liter coke ora pack of gum and then i would bag the good stuff in, seeing as how we kept the good alcohol behind the counter....after closing we'd have to put in the merch. that was returned, needless to say i went shopping instead
FedEx was also not so exciting, xcept for all the shoes/ipods/cellphones and dvd/video games we got from "open/broken" packages
From the mortgage industry, u may get a loan with zero points i.e charges, but we would back load the loan like crazy, getting like 4-5% in the back, which meant ur interest would be higher than what it should be

Long term energy contracts are a big SCAM.
Those are the assholes that come to your new home to sign you up for a 5-year fixed rate for your gas or hydro. They ask to see your gas or hydro bill and end up screwing you over with a much higher rate.
Beware of these people. Many homeowners are singed up and they don't even know it.
If you're signed up and wish to get out without paying a huge fee, just change the name on your utility bill, inform the company you're moving or claim the contract signature was forged.

im a performance adviser, and im an engineer (as i said, designing for Noble...wonder why all Nobles get good reviews from the guys? ) so its my job to basically drive the cars, advise technical issues, some modern cars are very confusing, and filming time is limited, so im the guy that finds out how to work things, like how to adjust the settings etc, adjust them to whichever lad is showin it on film. set up the car to the best setting for what shot needs to be filmed next. etc. when we go on location i usually drive the route thats gotta be filmed, make sure it can be done safely, find good lines to take etc.
ok um, remember that aston/lambo/porshe episode? when James May was hot in the racing Aston? (which btw i drove over there and all the way i was complaining it just felt strange, then realised i had the fuel saver switch on ) well. it actually was like a bloody oven in there, and he actually did smell real real bad!!
i cant tell who who Stig is, whats the fun in that? when you know it ruins it. trust me. and what makes you think that?

McDonalds:
1. All the lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions, everything is left out in the open for quite a while, so it gets really nasty.
2. The since the lettuce is left out in the open, it gets warm and employees stick their dirty little hands in a bucket of lettuce to make your big mac.
3. The small onions are dehydrated and its made by soaking it in water.
4. The cheese it left out on the counter in case there is a large order, burgers can be made faster. Employees build pyramids with the cheese and leave it on the counter so they turn golden yellow. The cheese then gets sticky and nasty so anything that flies on it gets stuck.
5. If you order something uncommon like "VEGIE BURGER" or "BLT GRILLED SANDWHICH" or "BLT CRISPY SANDWHICH"...... if the employee dropped the patty for those burgers, they will use it because it takes a while to make and they aren't much in stock and ready to use.
6. Don't order specials on a special sales day like "99c Chicken nugget tuesdays or 99c Big Mac Mondays" because employees make 50 of them ahead of time sitting on the counter incase fat people come and order in bulk.
7. Don't complain about your "double cheeseburger" being too greasy, because if you didn't want greasy food, u shouldnt be at McDs in the first place. The manager will give it back to the teenager employee at the grill and he will be pissed.
8.Patty's are dirty and frozen.
9. McD EMPLOYEES HAVE DIRTY HANDS!!!! REMEMBER THAT!!! THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR THEM TO WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER EVERYTHING THEY DO!!!! They will make patties, and then rush to fry things, and then wipe down the counter with a dirty wet rag that probably has tons of bacteria on it. They make the food on that same counter that the rag was used. They use that same hand that they touched the same rag with and touch your cheese, add the lettuce, etc......
10. Don't BE PICKY with your food. It pisses off the underpaid teenage employees that your order is a "special" and "complicated" while they have to quickly make many other orders. They will most likely give u a nasty burger.

I'll have to call shenanigans on this on.
1. I don't know what McD's you worked at, maybe things have changed (i was 15 when I worked there) but there were very strict statutes for how long food could be out and exposed. New food was always stored in a way that cycled the oldest out first so everything stayed fresh and everything was monitored for temp. during storage and after cooking.
2. Gloves
3. Not when I worked there.
4. Not when I worked there.
5. I have never seen that happen. Ever. If someone orders something differant people just make it.
6. I can't comment on this one, I never worked during a special promotion like that.
7. If someone complains, it doesn't matter, we just make another one, It takes 30 seconds to make a hamburger once the meat is cooked.
8. They are not dirty, they are frozen. It's common knowledge that only certain establishments like Wendy's cook unfrozen meet. If you buy raw meat from the supermarket and don't eat it right away, don't you freeze it?
9. Gloves.
10. I don't know what to say. No one I worked with was that malicious. I don't know where you worked though.
