So... Basically you are saying the cops treat them the same in Japan as they do here in America.

i've heard similar stories about korea, although its not just black people but anyone with darker skin color is looked down upon....which ultimately, i guess, is black people...

People who are lower class are distinguishable by skin colour. They work outside whereas the middle and upper class folks work in offices and such, and the women especially because skin lightening cosmetics are very popular. There really isn't many black people to hate there.

Eh, kinda true in Japan, light skin is more fashionable but only among women. Men dont really try and change their skin tone, its why white guys are so fancied here, its deemed to be the ultimate fashion accessory. Black people have just been villainised to such a degree that they are treated like thugs and criminals. Even the coolest people Ive met here who did a tonne of work to move them past that myth are still not really trusted by the locals.

Places that do oil changes have a habit of re-using old oil filters if they will fit, even if they aren't designated for that car. Wal-Mart makes you wait an hour for your oil change so you will be enticed to shop, because in reality it takes about 4 minutes to change oil.

If you have someone working in your home like a hvac, cable, phone, or alarm guy working in your house, don't treat them poorly. I base a lot on how they treat me. I give better breaks for the nice lady rather than the guy who knows it all and thinks it's your fault he cut his wiring while adding an addition on his house. Be truthful with us and tell us you did damage yourself, if you make us look for it, or lie, we will charge you more. Don't ask us to take off our shoes, it is a hassle and we are required to keep them on( unless they are muddy). Don't follow us around and try to haggle pricing, it only aggrevates us. Don't make us wait out in the cold or it will cost you. Be at your home when you schedule a call, we want to get home too, and if you are late chances are we won't do as good a job and may have to come back. Clean the area you know we will be working in.
