At UPS warehouses the packages get thrown. Fragile boxes get beat up worse than regular boxes so don't draw attention to your box. If we're curious what's inside we will open it. We would have contests on who can kick a box the farthest or who can punch a hole in the box. Funnest was how many pounds can you catch a package from being thrown.

At Hollywood Video when they say the movie is due by a certain date at midnight.. it's actually due the day after before opening. We don't check the box until morning.

I don't know where you live, but i worked at ups and no one threw boxes. No one kicked them caught them. But then again i live in a civilized place.

The biggest buyers of kitty litter are industiral companies. They use it to soak up oil. I've seen companies who will have a 12'x4' machine surrounded by multiple rings of kitty litter on the floor. In the first ring there will be an inch or more of oil. Everything also tends to be covered in an inch of grime and ****l shavings. I used to clean machines like this. Fucking hell on earth.

If a machine that is 9'x5' and weighs 7,000 pounds is being moved by a forklift with slick forks and no wood, the machine will slide off when turning in reverse. Said machine will topple over and go right through asphalt. In this case there was no damage to the machine but it was really lucky. Almost a few hundred thousand down the drain.

We had nothing but highschool and college students working. It was usually the people that unloaded trucks because instead of walking the package to the belt you would rather throw it to speed up time.
