Police officers do not have to meet a ticket "quota."
Most police officers are hanging out somewhere (restaurant, gym, friend's house, etc.) when they are on "patrol."

When purchasing furniture, there's a good possibility that you'll get the floor model or a previously returned item.
I don't recommend buying the stain protection for fabric. It actually works very well, but at the warehouse where I worked, we sprayed everything. It's just faster and easier.
If you have to get your furniture serviced and your technician quotes you a price, ask for a receipt. I know several of our service guys would go on repair calls and though the problem would not be covered under warranty it was (unwritten) company policy to repair it for free, but the service techs would chage $10-$20 and just pocket the money.

Yep, I just watched this today, and I suspect this isn't isolated to the UK.

Very true. I had a friend that was a police officer. He did steroids and he'd smoke weed with us and drive drunk all the time. He started taking a bunch of prescription pills.

One time he was still high from a weed brownie he ate the night before so he just parked under a tree and took a nap with the A/C on in his car. They're trying to stop that now by putting GPS in the patrol cars.

Aslo, if they make an arrest they're entitled to rest. So his typical day at work would be to come in early and take a shower. Then go on patrol for a little while, make an arrest and take a nap. All this while clocking in overtime at the city's expense.

He doesn't work for the police department anymore but he's been getting paychecks for over a year. He filed a lawsuit because they gave him shit for fucking up paperwork because he had a "disability." That diability was adult ADD. So he started a company while collecting paychecks during the pending lawsuit and he's probably gonna get money from the lawsuit.

Most people from high school that went into the marines came back as alcoholics or cokeheads.

I have a friend that was in the reserves, he went to Iraq. He has no common sense or street smarts at all and can't even clean up after himself.

Exactly. Plus, it's a ridiculously stupid story.

I knew a guy who told this customer that his internita switch. what that does is it shuts off the fuel pump when you get into an accident, but you can turn it off your self by releasing the switch. this guy did it, told the customer he needed a new fuel pump and charged him over $400
how long is the schooling for becoming a certified auto technician

it all depends when i left i wasnt certified but you are trainable basically. some people can get further education for free which is good while others can work for an independent shop or just do wheels and tires and oil changes. we are trained to think of our selves as "technicians" but I call it an asshole with a wrench really. its very easy to lie and make a lot of money also
