I did this job. ITs actually plain clothes security. BORING as fuck. I did it for a super market chain. They had 5 stores in my area all we would do is drive to each one walking around tryin to catch people stealing.

A couple things from my experience:
Cable company:
Some of the boxes they give you can send info as well as receive, meaning they could be video taping you. Its in your contract and all boxes are leases regardless if they are free. So next time you and your significant other are on the couch screwing, smile for the camera. Also HD DVR boxes break more often then any other box, but if you are decent at computers you can move your saved files to your computer via firewire and a decoder.
Computer Servers:
80% of the time a desktop computer will outperform or perform comparatively to a similarly speced rackmount unit. What you pay for is the form factor.
Starbucks:
Starbucks makes roughly 1000% profit per drink. For example a shot of espresso costs .03 to make and they charge 1.55 for a latte. ( I know thats not 1000% but you get the idea)
You can also get a double shot and put your own milk in it for cheaper then a single shot latte.
Pizza:
A good pizza place makes there dough fresh every other day, dough has to sit in a cooler overnight to make it workable otherwise your pizza cooks uneven.
Washington Mutal:
Wamu will levy more fees on you then most banks. Go credit union!

I used to be a member of a credit union but got tired of the hassle of withdrawing money since they didn't have a large network of ATMs. Went with WAMU and so far no problems. What type of fees are you referring to?

How does this work? It sounds too farfetched to be possible.

Well lets just say I switched to a credit union from wamu. They charged me 3x for the same overdraft fee. They also charged me a maintance fee this was a few years back. My ex worked there and told me that the managers need to pull a certain amount of money from fees in order to recoup roughly 75% of the costs to run the single bank. Could be false but that is what I heard.

I'm having a hard time believing this one too. Transferring data on what you're watching, I can believe, but video of what's going on in the room? I ain't buying it.
