Back in high school i delivered pizza, but things might have changed since then.
*anyone who works where you cannot see them in a real pizza parlor i.e. not a stupid chain, is an illegal immigrant.
*my boss fired one of his workers because they were trying to become legal, and thus he would be forced to be paid more.
*if you don't tip, we remember. If you consistently order just one pie and only give a dollar tip, there will be repercussions. People fail to realize that delivery is just like being a waiter, except instead of walking your food to you, we drive it. Please tip as if you were in a restaurant. If you give someone a tip that doesn't even cover the cost of gas to drive to you, your pizza will be fucked up the next time you get it.
*the vodka used to make vodka sauce, is the cheapest, dirtiest 2 dollar a handle Russian vodka that is available. (not sure if that matters).
*pizza parlors are a gold mine. they buy everything in bulk, and sell it at about 1500% mark-up value.
* pizza parlors hold a lot of cash, on a friday night there is thousands of dollars there. Very easy to rob. One of my co-workers robbed our restaurant 3 times and never got caught.

I haven't read all the posts, but here's my experience:
Janitor: The bottom of the toilet seat needs the most cleaning.
Crab/lobster packer: Many restaurants buy the cheaper ones (dying ones). To know how healthy (and better tasting) crabs are, flip them, and push on the triangular area on their bottom. If they squirm like a mofo, they are healthy. For lobsters, pick them up with one hand, gripping their sides, right behind their claws. If their claws retract backwards, they are healthy.
PhD student/T.A.: Us guys really do give preferential treatment to cute female students. However, we prefer competent, sincere, and respectful students the most. It creates less work for us, and promotes a more carefree work environment. If you are in one of these two demographics, we will gladly help during the week before finals.
Statistical analyst in entertainment: The entertainment (movies) realm is filled with just as many stupid people you will see in any other field. (I guess that's not a secret, but I can't really divulge anything else about it).

In any restaurant your dishes are washed in a machine that reuses its water… this water can be used for up to 10 hours before it needs to be drained and refilled… that means the same water that washed the breakfast dishes are washing your dinner plates…. The water after 2-3 hours turns a dark grey. It smells like coffee and cheese mixed…. All the food that falls off the plates while in the machine sits in the bottom of the water… like a tea bag constantly making the water dirtier and dirtier, mostly eggs meats and pastas.
The silver ware is all washed at once in one tray/rack it’s washed with everything in it. So if there’s a piece of chicken in the middle off all the silverware it wont come out (you wouldn’t believe how often this happens and how much food gets mixed in with the silver ware). Your silver ware is left in that same tray/rack till needed the only reason it appears “clean” is because it’s polished with a piece of cloth weather it be a napkin or a towel.
This only applies to large restaurants… the moral of the story is… eat at the small places they have dish washers that refill after each wash

I work in a retirement center and it’s true if your parents or grand parents are in a health care facility get them out now... I’m not saying your parents/grandparents are getting beaten but they are NOT taken care of. When you visit everyone is told your coming and they're all on their best behavior
you wouldn’t believe the stuff I’ve stopped and was too late to stop

This is true of most alcohol used for sauces, unless you are in a very expensive restaurant. It makes a little difference, but not enough for people that don't cook for a living.
The dirty little secrect about vodka sauce is that vodka has basically no flavor. It's a great way to sell something to people with no palette.

In the Sewer Cleaning Industry (roto rooter etc) we take a piss on the floor if there's been a sewer backup and we have to pee while trying to unclog the drain. It's really not adding anything different to the stuff on the floor, but it's pretty rude and gross in it's own way.
