Alright, this post is a bit of a vent, but i'm also curious if anyone has experienced something similar.

The other night i'm out walking my parents dog. It is a beagle. Not a tough dog by any means but whatever.

I walk near some Tennis courts towards an open field. There are some punks playing hakey sack on the courts I think nothing of it. Trying to mind my own buisiness. Then some punk kid comes up to the tennis court cage and is like,

"That is a little bitch dog" blah blah blah...

I'm like whatever, "It's not a bitch it's a guy." (trying to be somewhat civilized)

Punk: Why did you get a little bitch dog why didn't you get a husky blah blah" he then proceeds to call the dog a little bitch dog, acting all tough in front of his 5 or 6 friends who are pretty much ignoring him.

I could have easillty said nothing and walked but I didn't feel like letting some punk think he can just disrespect people walking down the street.

I proceed to tell him the only bitch's around are his mom and sister and proceed to walk. He then comes out on the other side of a fence which run's along the field, acting all tough and asks if I want to scrap blah blah blah.

I couldn't believe it. I'm 25 over 6 feet and 215. This guy was an overgrown 16 year old.

Almost laughing I couldn't believe he wanted to scrap me. He then proceeded to make racial comments.

I wanted to beat his face in and was feeling the adrenaline one gets during a confrontation that leads up to a fight. He kept feighning he was going to come around the fence and scrap thinking i'd cower away.

I simply told him he's not worth my time and walked off. (trying to take the high road and use my head a bit)

If I did scrap him I would have been wearing my sandals and would have had to worry about the dog. Plus this guy had 5-6 friends with him (who were pretty much ignoring him). So I can't be certain they would have jumped in while I put the guy to sleep, if he had some sort of weapon, I also don't need some lawsuit etc...

Bottom line I couldn't believe the disrespect of the kid. Which is what made me want to beat him down. (Plus his ballz to actually want to throw down with me) I have no doubt I could pound him one on one.

Anyways, just venting. Curious if anyone has experience anything like this or what they would have done in my situation etc.

Maybe you should have kindly asked for a raincheck; you had your dog and improper attire (sandals) to worry about.
If you see that kid again by chance (not unlikely) on a stroll and conditions are even or favorable, you could be nice about it and ask if he'd honor the expired coupon he gave you last time

I never really thought about it directly, but I now realize that that is the reason why I never wear sandals

The truth is, you did everyone (him, yourself, others) a huge favor by not engaging him right there. If you still feel bad, you can always offer a gentlemanly match of regulated (gloves, mouthpiece, friends on both sides spectating) "spar". Fun for everyone !
(and remember, if you win then your dog does too )

racial slurs? bro... if that kid was going to cross that line.. i wouldve told the dog to 'stay,' and wouldve proceeded to unleash the fiercest no gi jiu jitsu those tennis courts have ever seen. sometimes people just need a good beating... and i gauruntee, if you wouldve choked that kid out, the remaining 5 friends wouldnt have said a word to you.

... then when the kid was out.. i wouldve rubbed the dogs balls on his mouth then told his friends 'make sure you tell him that he licked a 'bitch dogs' balls.'

His ***got ass playing the race card gives you the right ot go to town on his ass. granted with all his friends there, you don't want outplay your hand but you stepped up and said what needed to be said. Thats about all you can do in that situation.

Yes, this kid was with a few girls as I was walking back home from the shop because I fetched my mum a packet of ***s. He says "Oi, give us a ***", and I said "No", so he starts getting in my face and I said "Listen up son, I know you're in front of your little girlfriends here, but you really don't want to do this" (he was the same height as me, but I probably outweighed him by at least 100lbs), and then he said "Maybe I do" and tried to push me, but I didn't move an inch and he went back.

I didn't want to hit him because he was just a punk and I'd have looked like a bully. He kept on trying to push me, not being able to move me, but I'd had enough, so I just slapped him, he stopped right in his tracks and the girls he was with burst out laughing.

You did the right thing by walking away, I understand that your pride was probably hurt and your ego was bruised but there were too many risks in fighting this guy. He had friends with him, you were wearing sandals, you had your dog with you and even though this kid was a total **** a 25 year old man beating on a 16 year old looks bad in court even if the kid was in your face.

Just for shits and giggles you should go back to those tennis courts and find that kid and go up to him and say, "Alright, I'm ready for that scrap we talked about the other day."

Teenagers are tough to read these days. There are parts of my town where the kids will jump you if you jaw back at them, in this case it's just best to walk off. But I remember walking in one of our upscale malls where all the rich kids hang out and there was a group of guys standing on the upper level throwing shit at people on the escalator and calling them 'bitches and ***gots' etc. Well I guess the guy in front of me was in a bad mood because when he got hit with a wad of gum he ran up the downwards escalator and grabbed the loudest kid in the bunch by the neck and proceeded to tell him he was having a bad day and that he was gonna beat the hell out of this kid. At this point this 16 year old 'tough guy' starting tearing up, you could see tears forming in his eyes. The guy let him go and told the other kids "look at your friend now, not so tough is he? I mean he's crying for god's sake. GO HOME."

They all looked mortified!!

haha, only problem is the dog is pretty young so not quite well trained yet.
