SUV Choices?
Hey all,
I've been thinking about getting a small-mid sized suv type vehicle for work.
I've been thinking about a Ford Escape, Jeep Liberty, or Honda CR-V. I mostly need it to haul equipment nothing major.
I'd like it to be decently good on gas.
Anyways, I was wondering if you have opinions on these choices, or if you have one of them and what you think of them.
Also if you recommend another model/typle let me know.

crv pwns the fuck out of the liberty or escape. escapes area bit bigger than the other two, but so much higher quality as too offset any cargo differential.

Well, are you sure you want an SUV? They are coming out with a lot of crossover-type vehicles. These will have the ability to haul some loads, but should be better on gas mileage.
As far as what is out there in the mainstream SUV market right now, I'd go with a Toyota Highlander hybrid or a RAV4. The CR-V should be okay too, but I don't personally care for its stlyling.
I believe they make a hybrid version of the Ford Escape, but I don't think that they have a very good reputation for reliability. The Jeep is, well, a Jeep. They've never been known for their great reliability, and you might be taking a risk in the long term. Overall, I'd stay away from American SUVs, as none are really impressive. I'd go for Toyota or Honda, and look for hybrids if you can. Hope this helps you out a bit.

Yah, maybe I should look into a hybrid. My work can involve some "rougher" terrain at times. So I was thinking an SUV, a car just doesn't cut it. Plust driving in the winter etc.
The Rav4 doesn't look too bad i'll have to look into it more. Do you know who it is on gas?
