ps2 is still selling very well.

ps3 will have a very long life cycle just like the ps2 now.

Things have changed. No one can predict the future, but if Sony wants a long shelf life they need to make some changes.

Exactly. Nintendo ruled the roost for a long time before the 64 and Cube came up short. They're back on track now, but to assume previous dominance means anything at all now is just wrong.

I don't see how you have to change a system that is better in everyway to an xbox360, what they need to do is sort out the developers and get more games, the ps3 owns the 360 in terms of power. It's true the xbox 360 has more games but alot of them are not great and how many games do people really play, in some respects i doubt most people own more than 10 games for there console so even if the system has alot of games how many do you actually play.

By then the next Xbox will be out. So I really have no reason to ever buy a PS3.
