This is the way to go. If she doesn't tell him after a while you should tell him if you two are close. She's cheating on him in public? He might already know, but if he doesn't this is totally unacceptable, imo. I would want a good friend to tell me, no matter how much it sucks.

Agreed, if my friend tells me my wife is cheating on me id be mad at the wife but if i found out shes cheating on me and my buddy knows but dosen't say anything id be mad at both of them

It really depends on how close you two are. Like someone said, if it's a boss you are friendly with stay out of it. If it's a good friend it becomes a much more difficult decision. I couldn't let a close friend be embarrassed like that, but if you say something you are very likely to break up their family.
