So how do you really feel when you get older?
I'm 22 now and I feel like I am in the best shape of my life....and mentally, I feel very quick and perceptive.
Just curious if any of you 30+ year olds can chime in on how you feel now compared to your early 20's? Is it a big drop off or do you feel you're pretty much the same either physically and/or mentally.
I love being active and becoming a cripple or aging kind of freaks me out.....I wish we felt like we were in our mid 20's until the day we die.

I got married a couple of years ago and therefore put on about 30 pounds but I haven't seen any additional aches or hair loss or anything like that. I just weight train and run but not as much as I used to when I was single (I dont have to work as hard for the goods anymore). I plan on training MMA at Greg Jackson's (I live in Albuquerque) as soon as I finish renovating my rental house and selling it.

Actually, you're already on the right track. The better you take care of yourself now, the greater you'll feel when you're older.
I'm 25, but I don't smoke, use drugs, and drink alcohol in moderation. Also, I try to eat healthy food and stay in shape. You can feel 18 when you're 30 as long as you take care of yourself.
Cheers, and keep on plugging forward! Age is just a state of mind. Just look at Randy Couture at age 44 now for a prime example.

Yeah, my fat ass needs to get in shape. When I was in high school I felt like a champ. I was strong, in shape, and cocky, but sitting on your ass drinking beer isn't the way to go. Right now I feel old even though I'm only 22 but I'll fix this shit, When I do work out I still feel good even though I'm out of shape.
Mentally, I feel older. I feel alot different than high school. I have that "if I knew then, what I know now" kinda feeling. I guess it kinda sucks, but that's life.
I'll get my fat crack back into shape and I'll be ready to go(kinda random, just saying)
Sorry if this didn't make sense but I'm a little drunk right now, .. like I said alcohol is par tof the problem.

I'm 41 and at around 35 I started to noticably lose speed and also much more easily add fat. It was a drag at first but I've gotten used to it and am still in pretty good shape compared to others my age but there is a big drop off

i'm 21 and the last 2 years have gone by very fast, especially this last year. im pretty sharp mentally but high strung as hell. not too sure why by i definently am.
i think why you guys say you slow down after 35 or so is cause your testosterone is lowering, you mind dosen't race as fast and you focus more? i think in our 20's we are kind of in the fast lane in our brains
