basically the earth gets enough solar power in one hour to power itself for a year, the only problem in the past has been storing it whenever the cells are not in use(ie, at night). Some guy came up with a simple efficient way of doing it and basically answered the question of cheap, non polluting energy. Anyway, read the article, I think this is awesome.

This sounds like a legitimate breakthrough ... could be huge.

Btw, there are already plenty of completely solar powered vehicles. They even have races for them and such. They aren't anything you'd want to commute in tho.

I've seen those before but they usually look like some kind of weird bug design. They seem very limited as far as internal space goes as well.

No doubt it is. People have been coming up with "breakthrough" technology that will replace oil dependence for years.
