I also love some of the ridiculious responses on here. I typed one declaritive statement: "I make too much money to receive federal financial aid." From here I have all kinds of jerkoffs jumping to conclusions that because I wasn't granted money, then I completely kicked the idea of loans, a job, etc. off of the table.

Then what are you complaining about? If you made too much money, then you should have some saved up. If not, wait until next year when you can get some aid. I'm not getting any free money this year, either. Welcome to the club.

You completely missed my point. Financial aid is based on what you did last year. A lot can change by then.

Financial aid takes into account your fin situation from last year, so if you were a dependent then, you will not get anything, but you will get help next year.

That's how the system works. It wouldn't make any sense to be based on your current employment.

With school back in session I can only work 19 hours/week. That puts me right on the threshold here in Canada where I get taxed like 40 cents/hour worked... Gotta love it.
