Maybe the presence that you feel is actually your own.

That happens to me all the time. Just need to get up and move around, get the blood flowing again.

yeah this happens to me at least once a month. what sucks about it is it reoccurs during the night, so once i get out of it (wake up) i close my eyes and it starts again, almost instantly. this goes on for about 4-5 times until finally im sleeping peacefully.
i always try to stick it out till i cant take it anymore because for some weird reason i feel theres something cool behind it....but its probably death.

It's whatever scared the crap out of people during a certain time period and place. I've heard of hags, demons, witches, and nowadays ALIENS! Ahhh.
But yea, it's just a sleep disorder. When ever I experience sleep paralysis, it's also way easier to lucid dream. Anyone agree?

I've had this about four or five times. It's important to stay calm. Each time I had it, i usually had somatic (body) and auditory hallucinations. Usually I had a constant stabbing pain (e.g. in my ribs) that was consistent with a sound of muscles being crunched. Haha that wasn't pleasant for sure. It goes away after though.
In two cases, I tried getting up. One time I thought I had physically gotten up, but I think it was an out of body thing. My movement was slow and wave like. Plus I unepectedly snapped back into the couch where I was sleeping. The other time, I just imagined my self sitting up. Problem was, is that I sat up, but my head kept moving forward towards the wall, like I had some zoom visions. I don't get sleep paralyses anymore though. Really weird stuff...

I've had it happen twice, but I didn't see anything either time. Now what freaks me out is tripping during a dream then your leg kicks (same thing happens when I fall in a dream)

Depends on your own cultures paranormal stories. Your in America, you are likley to see Grey Aliens, if you are in New Foundland you are likey to see an Old Hag, if you are in certain African countries you may see demons pinning you to the bed, or you may see nothing at all because you don't have an active imagination.

Its sleep Apnia.
Its scary as shit, as I personally feel like I'm Fighting something, fighting to get back into my body...just happened to my girl this morning.
Your still stuck in REM (slightly), as REM sleep disables your motor function so you cannot "act" out your dreams. At least, its the same disabling function.
Don't worry, and I hope you have insurance.
I did a sleep study (as I have a problem of NOT having my motor function disabled during REM, hurting myself and breaking shit while dreaming) and it was ~3000 without insurance. Luckily I just had a deposit.
