Something similar to that happened to me when I was younger. Went to sleep, woke up and couldn't move for a few days. I think the docter said that it was caused by a twitching bone in my neck or something. Haven't had any problems since though.

It's normal and common. Happens more during naps.

You could be in a deep meditation state, it sometimes happens spontaneously.
Dont do nothing just enjoy the moment.
Your body is not important at this point.

It happens to me once every 2 months or so on average, i hate it, getting out of it sort of feels like escaping from a swamp.
Edit: O yea, is it just me? but if you go back to sleep literally str8 after it happens you fall right back into it? I usually have to be awake for about half a minute before i can rest again.
