it would be really something else.. but I think it had its own unique character with its given generation..But, it still would be great if they remade it for current graphics.

I would give it a chance, It's the most unique game experience I've had. Maybe that's just because we interpret things differently, but it left its mark on me.

Who else loves hard games, and wishes there were more of them?

I'm still trying to beat this game. It's definitely the hardest game that I've ever played. It's also the best racing game I've ever played. IMO, it blows Mario Kart and Gran Turismo out of the water.

I can't get into Resident Evil. The only games I can play without caring about the story are the GTA games. I wanted to play through San Andreas and follow it but when it got into Yakuza casinos and stuff I gave up. I wanted to gangbang.

I really miss hard games. This was my favorite hard game of all time and is a truly underrated and forgotten gem of gaming history. It came out for the Dreamcast.

Basically, it's like an insanely ruthless platformer where even a slight mistake in timing can KILL you. Neo has a magnetic head, so the jumping puzzles would consist of changing the polarity of his pull to move you towards or away from painful death.

It had some of the most intense moments I've ever experienced in gaming.

Have you tried Resident Evil 4? It's the best RE game by far, and unlike any of the others.

I had a DC but never even heard of that game. I bet it would be damn near impossible to find it today.

I've heard good things about Ikaruga, but I couldn't find it anywhere, and I think it's only on the X-Box arcade, not the virtual console. But it looks like my next game will be coming from the VC, as there aren't very many challenging games made anymore. Have you heard anything about Mega Man 9? If I that one isn't as hard as its predecessors, I'll probably go with R-Type.

Mega Man 9 is on par with 3 in terms of difficulty, but not quite as bastard as 2. All of the bosses (with the exception of the Dr. Wily bots) are really easy when you learn their patterns, but their levels are tough.

You can get Super Magnetic Neo on eBay for $5.00.

Ikaruga was on Gamecube, but the easiest way to play it is on 360.
