Despite the bugs Mass Effect had, it has the best storytelling of any game I've ever played.

Anyone played Dead Space yet? Is it any good?

I am STILL playing Call of Duty 4 like crazy. I'm not really even thinking about buying five yet because of that. I think taking all of the modern weaponry out might make the game feel a little more cumbersom and not as customizable. However, it also might give things a more desperate and gritty feel. Who knows?

Yeah, the Jedi were unbalanced. However, Mass Effect really isn't as balanced as you think. For example, there are pure "pwn" specializations in that game. If you are an engineer and pick Rex and Ashley (I think that's her name) and put all of your points into health and shotguns, you can send them in and destroy all the robots from a distance or snipe them. It's really overpowered, and that's just one of the combos I can think of.

Shadow of the Colossus, the scale of the battles are so mesmerizing, mixed with the wonderful music.. It doesn't get much better than that.

I wish that game would get ported to the newer gen systems. Could you imagine that game with today's graphics?

With so many quality titles released in the past fortnight, and potential quality to be released in the next month, surely some mercy could have been spared. Our helpless and empty pockets are in dire need of some rest, but it won't come soon. Perhaps it was a sign when my 360 all of a sudden up and died on me the other day.

Just out of curiosity, which games have you picked up thus far and what else is on your hit list in the next month? With the suspect death of my 360 (it died 2 days before GTA IV release aswell) I have somehow managed to restrain myself from splurging hundreds on games, opting only for GOW2 and L4D until the price drop on other titles.

I bought that game almost a year ago and never made it past the first battle. I sort of gave up on the game really fast for some reason.

Dead Space is REALLY good. It has the best immersion out of any survival horror game I have ever played. This is due to the decision to make the inventory screen displayed via holograms in front of your character.

This way, you neve run into a situation like in Resident Evil where a Hunter is jumping right at you and you can pause and switch to the grenade launcher mid-leap and stop them no problem. Also, the graphics are AMAZING. Buy it.

That's just it, you can create team builds using different characters base on your own, but in KoTOR, it's always 3 Jedis.

I heard they re-worked the melee system. Makes sense considering the war. I saw a few minutes of gameplay and it definitely is more gritty, right down to the on-screen damage indicator.

Kiefer Sutherland does a pretty acceptable job with voice work.

I only play games with tons of action (COD4, Stranglehold, Army Of Two, Unreal, Resistance). I can't imagine walking down a hallway for twenty minutes with nothing to do but wallow in "atmosphere". Doom III is the closest I got to doing that.

Oh, I agree. But there aren't any "pwn" specializations in KOTOR. There are combinations that work well, but you can't program those 3 Jedi to run through the game.

Have you played Resident Evil 4? The action is much like that, but it's just a tad less frequent. You won't go more than 5 minutes without action of some kind.
