Really? I thought it was a wonderful movie. I thought the acting was impeccable. Casey Affleck has it all over his brother when it comes to serious acting. Ben however has the 'it' factor in the equation judging by comparative success in Hollywood. I really loved this movie though. I'd definitely watch it again.

I liked the 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. But I guess I'm in the minority because I absolutely fucking hated Superbad. I really, really wanted to see it, but just about every part of the movie I thought was funny was in the previews. I'm just too desensitized to find two guys who are supposed to be 17 cursing. It didn't faze me, and it didn't make me laugh. I just don't see the love for the movie. I feel that Apatow is starting to slip, making a few good movies but living off his reputation.
I just watched the Japanese movie Audition last night, and it's another movie where I don't understand why people like it. Was it weird? Oh yeah. But it was also very slow, and I think most people like it for just the torture scene. Put it in my list of overrated movies.
Here's a good website for 80's movies.

if you have any respek for roeper just read his yearly top ten lists. he's a fartface.
forgetting sara marshall is pretty mediocre. meh it's not like it takes much talent to make a good comedy, so top 50 comedies is a pretty easy list to make it onto IMO, especially considering how much like adam sandler type crap gets put out and how few quality comedies. take the wedding crashers? it's undeniably a far above average comedy, yet it's not even a legit 7/10 movie.

Strangelov's Top Ten Western Films
WESTERNS:
- These are my personal favorites -
1) Once Upon a Time in the West
2) Unforgiven
3) The Gunfighter
4) The Magnificent Seven
5) Fistful of Dollars

(It's introduction changed westerns forever.
I'd love to put all three into the list,
but this one started it all. You get the point.)

Oh lawd!
The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford was the most underrated film of last year.
A truly beautiful film with incredible cinematography, ****** and score.
The cast were amazing and the pacing of the film was absolutely perfect.
I thought it just had the edge on No Country For Old Men.
'Tis a shame this is Mayberry, sir, for you deserve a most vigorous and potent flaming.

*fixed
I was floored by TAOJJBTCRF also. I'm going to purchase this movie in it's most special edition format that I can find available. I'm sure there will be interesting documentary special features for this one.

I watched it yesterday and was very disappointed. In total I probably laughed 2-3 times, neither of which were guffaw inducing, more of a "hehe."

Out of the 2 other people I watched it with, one of them fell asleep during the movie. Casey affleck is an abomination. They could have shortened the movie to maybe 30 minutes or 45.

i just watched the movie "flawless" tonight. it was very enjoyable. surprisingly enough, i found myself slightly teary eyed at the end of it and it's not even a sad movie. im blaming it on only having slept 4 hours in the last 48. it's good enough that ill be rewatching it after i get some sleep tonight.

Finally saw Collateral, a movie I had absolutely zero interest in seeing before it was recommended.
Great fuckin movie. I cant remember enjoying Tom Cruise in a role this much EVER. Just a solid film in many ways.
Im thinking about watching 'There will be Blood' tonight. What's the word here on this one?
