IRON GIANT and AS Supes are great, the Live-Action-Nazis don't know what they are missing

I just got In the Valley of Elah from the library today. I don't know much about it other than what's on the back of the DVD, but like I said earlier: I love Tommy Lee Jones.
Just wondering what some of you guys who have seen it have to say about it.

Swimming With Sharks
Great idea. Good film. I was pleasantly surprised by the unforgiving content. It didn't hold back. It was definitely a one trick pony, but it was granted a lot of room. There was a lot of material there. I think of it as a dark, less British version of Office Space. It's definitely a diamond in the rough sort of film. I can appreciate it greatly. The only thing I can really say in disapproval is that it went on too long. It was based on a single plot point that got ridden very hard by necessity. I was however wondering at some point about 80% of the way through the movie if the story could sustain much more without venturing into monotony. The upside of asking myself that at that point in the movie is that it was the point where the movie started winding itself down to s resolution of sorts if you can call it that. I was really pleasantly surprised. 8/10

Thanks to the opening sequence on the Saw 4 dvd I discovered Horror Movies, Reviews, News and Free Horror Video Clips - FEARnet which is basically the be all end all resource for the horror genre.

Can't argue that it wasn't a one trick pony, but I really enjoyed it. It's not hard for me to imagine that Spacey is that much of a prick.

A Fish Called Wanda. One of my favorite comedies. Otto is one of the best supporting characters of all time.

What are your thoughts on the Saw saga as a whole?

I only saw the first one. I figured the sequels were just more of the same. The original was decent. Better than most horrors these days. I liked how they added the whole puzzle theme to the genre instead of just mindless killings. The acting could of been better though.

I love to hate them. I've seen them all and each year is the same, shitty acting with gore that makes me say "Why do I watch this shit?"
I just picked up a copy of American Gangster (got it for free!). I wanted this movie to be so much better than it was. It wasn't bad at all, but it just isn't a classic like I thought it would be.
