i haven't seen that one, but i did like "clockers"and "summer of sam." i don't recall seeing anything other than bits and pieces of his more negrocentric movies, but i expect they aren't quite as good but enjoyable compared to black experience crap like "higher learning" based on the bits i've seen of "do the right thing."
he's not really an art film maker, but in terms of more popcorn oriented affairs, he does well i think.

I thought the racial themes in 25th hour were significantly more even handed than his other movies. It is more focusing on NYC post 9/11 and a white drug dealer than race.

The leeches freak me out. Great movie, though.

I liked Do The Right Thing. I thought it was well done, and pretty funny at times. 25th hour was good, but i saw that at three in the morning after a night of partying. Me and my buddy blew lines and watched it. It was pretty much perfect for that.

Was watching a show with Stephen King and he was talking about Stand By Me. Apperently the leeches happened to him when he was younger. Can't remember if he got one on the junk though...makes for a good story none the less!

It wasn't too bad. The animation is what makes that movie watchable.

I watched the original Japanese version of The Eye and DAMN it was good. It scared the shit out of me and had a dynamic story that was good beginning to end w/ a satisfying conclusion.
