I've heard enough conspiracy theories in my day. The bottom line is I don't care. The people that think about that stuff generally obsess. I refuse to live in my basement only to come out on occasion to preach about the end of the world because of Skynet.

I'd consider the original Alien a horror, but Aliens is more akin to an action film from what I'm remembering (I have to admit: It's been a while since I've watched any of them).

ALIENS is almost analogous to the Vietnam war: losing to low-tech enemies. Cameron had this in mind in creating the second film.

I've begun my Netflix conquest to watch every Aaron Eckhardt movie. I'm also on a Werner Hertzog kick.

Start with GRIZZLY MAN and THANK YOU FOR SMOKING.

Do yourself a favor and skip SUSPECT ZERO; despite all the makings of something special it BLOWS.

the only thing i recall seeing eckhardt in, "teh black dahlia," he was far from great in. who knows though, the entire movie was a train wreck.

for herzog his best IMO is "fitzcarraldo." watch it was self-refernce in mind. i wouldn't really put him in the top 3echelon of filmmakers though, or even close. still, his movies are on average heaps better than the rubbish that emenates from hollywood.

What do you think of Michael Moore... Bowling for Columbine, Sicko and Farenheit 911?
