It's been quite a while since I saw either, but from what I can recall, I think I came to the same conclusion.
Both great, but I think
Dog Day Afternoon comes out ahead.

How exciting is it that Scorsese is going to adapt that book? I feel like I'm the only one looking forward to that film.
I keep saying it and I'm going to say it all the way up until the film premiers: If Scorsese can pull off the ending as well on film as Lehane did in print, it's going to trump
The Sixth Sense and even
The Usual Suspects IMO.

Best scene of the film.
"Charlieeee! They took my thumb!!!"
The first time I watched it, I thought he died, but thankfully he just passed out
And I asked this in another thread recently, but with the recent talk of cartoons and
The Pope of Greenwich Village, I figure I might as well try my luck here:
For anybody who has watched
American Dad, I've only seen little bits here and there, so I have no idea what episode this is nor do I have any idea of any storylines in the episode in question.
All I know is that there's an episode that references
The Pope of Greenwich Village. The kid with glasses lost his thumb or finger or something and the alien says to him, "Okay, now say, 'Charlie, they took my thumb!'"
I saw it once and haven't seen it since, can't find it on Youtube or anything, and nobody I've ever asked has had any idea what the hell I was talking about.
Does anybody here know from what episode that scene is from?
