I wouldn't consider that action, though. That's more a straight crime drama.

Awesome film, though, and a great companion piece to the original.

I also liked how Mickey Rourke kicked Stallone's ass.

Rourke=BAMF.

High Five! I have a hard on for Rourke. I have quite a few of his movies.

I'm still trying to get a copy of Homeboy.

Brad Pitt did not have good enough material in my opinion, and I'm a big fan of most of his shit, Brad Pitts funniest moment has to be as the stoned character in True Romance, so laid back and subtle.

And I mostly enjoy the Coen humor, I loved The Big Lebowski, and I even liked the commonly hated Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. But this one had nothing that appealed to me.

I prefer Arnold but I love a good Stallone action film. I think Demolition Man might be my favorite of his just for the sheer fun.
I do think Stallone is a better actor than Arnold, but that's just because he was ACE in Copland(severely underrated movie imo) and the latest Rocky movie was surprisingly real and well acted.

For pure action, I'm not sure. Arnold has Terminator 2, The Last Action Hero(I love this movie), Predator, Total Recall and True Lies.

Sly has Cliffhanger, Tango&Cash, Demolition Man, Judge Dredd and Assassins. But he also has two excellent franchises in Rocky and Rambo.

So Arnold might have made individually better action movies, but I do prefer Stallone.

I didn't like Showtime, but I guess you enjoy it because De Niro is in it ;)
I don't care much for Eddie Murphy outside standup anyway, The Golden Child and Coming to America are exceptions though.

Haven't seen Homeboy but I've seen a hell of a lot of his films.

The Pope of Greenwich Village has to be one of the most underrated films of all-time.

I think Burn After Reading was far and away the funniest thing I've ever seen of him. I'd have to rewatch Twelve Monkeys to see if I'd consider it the best performance of his career, but I definitely think it's his funniest.

He was great in True Romance, though. My favorite line of his is when James Gandolfini leaves.

"Don't fucking condescend me, man, I'll. . .fucking kill you, man."

If I haven't said it here, I've said it somewhere: It's impossible for an individual to like every one of the Coen brothers' films.

They're just too weird and have too unique a filmmaking style and too weird a sense of humor for one single individual to identify with and enjoy every one of their films.

Oh, Stallone's definitely the better actor, no question. However, I think Arnold is the undisputed action king

That's the reason I initially watched it, but I also thought both Eddie Murphy and William Shatner were funny as hell, too.

I always crack up at the scene where Shatner's showing De Niro and Murphy how a TV cop properly identifies drugs.

"You take the tip of your finger, and touch it. . .ever so gently to the tip of your tongue. [Does so]. Hooker knows it's cocaine."

"What if it's cyanide?"

". . ."

"There's a reason real cops don't taste drugs, Bill."

I tried to search for Vacancy but all I got was Hunters review of Bug.

I know that it was referenced sometime recently...

I have to admit that it got my heart racing a bit. Anyone else enjoy it?

Compared to Identity?

I also have to admit that I had to suspend my belief that.................................... ...........Kate Beckinsale was married to Luke Wilson.

Just how does one define an "action" movie...esp. since all the ones hailed in this thread come during a ten year period of 1982 (First Blood) to 1991 (Terminator 2)? Is it because of the age of the posters here? Does it have to star either: Sly, Arnold, Bruce, Mel or Chuck?
