It's really cool and I have no idea how they were able to make it look the way they did.

Exactly. When you're talking action films, First Blood II is great, but when you're talking solid filmmaking, it slips quite a bit and First Blood enters the picture.

It's worth tracking down a good version of it. I'm not a big fan, but it's a popular film that a lot of people think very highly of, so I'd say it's worth your time.

It's a can't miss.

Also: Does anybody else find it impossible not to laugh when looking at these?

He did some of the music for Fire Down Below and it wasn't half bad, but I find it hilarious looking at him performing.

I've seen clips of the sex scenes but I've never watched the film. I didn't know Flint was responsible for the graphic sexual content, though.

At least with Die Hard, the film can be taken somewhat seriously because he knocks the bad dudes off one-by-one in a realistic manner, instead of 1 dude versus 100 like Commando.

Here's the real list:

1. First Blood Part 2
2. Die Hard
3. Aliens
4. Terminator 2
5. Fortress
The camp adds to Commando's charm. Sully is hilarious, the one-liners are great, Rae Dawn Chong is awful but the banter between her and Schwarzenegger works, Bennet is a nutjob, and there are more explosions in the end scene than in the entirety of most other action films.

Campy, no question, but supreme enjoyment and awesome action.

I like your list, too, though. . .just not as much as mine.

I've never given this any thought before. I definitely don't agree with your pick, but I don't have one of my own.

The Korean version of One, Two, Three, Go! in the scene at Fever in Collateral jumps out off the top of my head as being awesome, but I don't have my own pick for that.

You rule. That's the exact video I was talking about. I have no clue how they did that but it makes for a very cool video IMO.

Wow, just watched Burn After Reading, and that is the worst Coen movie I've seen.

I get the whole unorthodox storytelling they love so much, but when they have a cast of characters I don't care for who they kill whenever they can and the dialogue is just unfunny drivel, then the storytelling is just plain retarded.

I laughed once, at the machine Clooney made, simply because it was so fucking random.

Other than that, it just seemed like the Coen-brothers just didn't care enough with the movie to make something good.

Man, so many great action movies were made in the late 1980's / early 1990's.

Cliffhanger
Tango&Cash
The Last Boy Scout
Die Hard
Lethal Weapon

Nobody writes a great action ****** like Shane Black.

And there's the polarizing nature of the Coen brothers' brand of humor in full effect.

You didn't even like Brad Pitt?

They're both hard asses, Rambo for the torture (the torture scene in First Blood Part II is one of the all-time great action movie scenes for my money) and Casey Ryback for being the cook who can kick your ass and shoot you full of holes or blow you up or throw a knife in your throat

Comparing the two films, though, I'd have to give it up for Under Siege. Too much bad assness between Seagal, Busey, and Jones for Stallone and First Blood Part II to compete with, and then when you add in Andrew Davis' direction. . .forget about it.

All great picks. I'm guessing you think Stallone>Schwarzenegger?

I prefer Arnold but I love a good Stallone action film. I think Demolition Man might be my favorite of his just for the sheer fun.

You know, I never cared for this. I didn't like the original and I didn't like any of the sequels ever.

I did like Showtime, though

I liked Get Carter, but that might have been more to do with the way the film looked.
