I disagree with this. The fact that Ledger died doesn't make the film any better nor does it make people think it's better.

The fact that he died certainly generated more buzz, and while it no doubt got more people into the theater to see it, once everybody sat down and watched the film, Ledger being dead or alive didn't make them think one way or the other.

If you want to say his death created more interest in the film, that's a given, but people didn't come out of the theater saying it was great just because he's dead.

Well I got it from my library and you only get new releases for three days. I just grabbed it because I hadn't seen it and wasn't really too keen on watching it anyway, so the last night I had it, I popped in but quickly realized, "You know, I don't feel like watching this."

I'll see it again, but next time, I'll make sure I watch it when I actually want to watch it

Thanks for that recommendation, I'll have to check it out. I can't believe I didn't know anything about it.
after reading some reviews it is apparent i am the only one who thinks it to be so funny. but the part where they travel through the cave- top notch, i laughed repeatedly. made it worth the whole movie.

Use IMDB, BTW...

Yeah, Felon...that's the movie I was thinking of. And I was at work so had to use Yahoo- movies - I was embarrassed to mention that. But anyway, it was a decent flick - an 8/10 IMO.

I used to think that stopping a movie part way through was the cardinal sin. I don't think that way anymore. When you watch as many 'B' and indie movies as I (I'm sure you even more), there's just not enough time if a movie is really bad and you don't see it redeeming itself. You may make the odd mistake, but whatever, meh.

So, IMO, don't feel bad.

I'm not sure which you are improperly using: "decent" or "8/10"? A score of 80 at Rotten Tomatoes would probably be characterized as a "very good" movie, IMO...

Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (1975)

Sadly enough, I've seen this like three times now.

It's just fun. In a sick way..
