That being said, if I was a director, the one movie that I really loved as a fan, but would remake in a heartbeat would be Reservoir Dogs. Make it more of an action flick where you see the complete robbery and aftermath. I'd love to have Mr. Blonde on screen going nuts and blasting everyone away. And show what happens with Mr. Pink at the end, if he shoots his way to freedom of if the cops gun him down.
finally. someone else who would want to remake Resevoir Dogs

Remakes are getting tired too. I will however watch the re imagining of Andromeda Strain on A&E on Monday and Tuesday.

I'm all for serializing action flicks for the most part. More often than not to make a sequel to an action movie you just need a new villan. This isn't true in all cases so please don't go reaming me out about Terminator, etc.

Crank is a movie that gets some people heated, because they think it's shit. I thought Crank was good nonstop action from beginning to end. It was intense entertainment. I don't know how they anticipate doing Crank 2 though? I'm all for it, but I'm lost as to what more they can do.
Yeah, the day Uwe Boll makes a decent flick is when the apocalypse comes. I'll agree with what you said about sequels, if you're just continuing an open story and/or introducing new villans, it's alright. I like some sequels better than the original (T2, Godfather 2, Spidey 2, etc.).

I enjoyed Crank, you just have to take it for what it is though. Don't really see what they'll do with the sequel, what is he gonna get shot up again with the serum and go thru that whole thing again?

Yeah, I've wanted to remake that movie for years now. I really like the original, some great casting and characters for sure. I just think that with a bigger budget and expanding on the idea, it could become something much greater.

Yes! love it.

Also- The rum diary needs to be made! It is the only movie I will be in line to see the night it comes out. Otherwise screw paying $8 to see any movie in the theater.

I bought Requiem for a Dream, and everyone warned me not to watch it. It's been sitting in my dvd collection for about 2 years or so now and I still haven't seen it.

It's such a deep movie. I've known people that have cried while watching it, it's that deep. It's definitely not a happy movie, but it's worth the watch. Can't watch it often, I've seen it maybe 3 times, the last time has been around 4 years ago.

Talk about an intense movie, although I could be biased as former drug abuser. Either way I know people that couldn't sleep at night after watching it.

I disagree that Reservoir Dogs should be remade.

1) That cast cannot be replaced.

2) No current screenwriter would do Tarantino justice.

3) I think maybe including the robbery would've worked, but it wasn't necessary and IMO isn't worth remaking [and most likely leaving a shit-stain on] such a superb film for.

4) I haven't seen it in a while, but IIRC, you can hear the commotion outside the warehouse of Buscemi getting caught.

Actually I had a lot to say since I was so letdown by that film. I still don't understand why anybody would consider that film anything greater than average.
