yeah i agree...although i did think kids was a decent movie...bully just struck a cord with me seeing how this actually happened(not all of it of course, due to s-c-r-i-p-t changes) but i enjoyed it
an actor i find to be really good is vincent d'onofrio..i remember seeing his movie "Good Luck" with Gregory Hines a long time ago in 98/99, i was like 14 and i really enjoyed that film, needless to say i havent seen it since(so it may be either good or a complete piece of crap) but i recall it being a particularly good film, imma check it out again and refresh my memory
i dont recall it being campy as this trailer makes it out to be...both of them where in some good scenes together iirc

You never got into it? That's the best Bogart/Bacall collaboration and one of Bogart's best period.
You should definitely try watching that again, and while you're at it, watch To Have and Have Not, Dark Passage, and Key Largo, as well.

Guess I'll sit this thread out.

Shia actually is a good actor, but he hasn't shown himself to be versatile, though I expect him to have a long career and all that shit.
"lol" at someone liking Southland Tales though. Not that it's something to be ashamed of- just that I personally found to be an utterly shitty movie that was basically about how Richard Kelly threw all of his ideas in a cinematic blender with no lid. But it's not even fun, which is why I didn't like it. Too many characters talking about shit that has no bearing on the many plots that don't make sense to interest me.
Mean Creek is pretty underrated by the way. It's weird to think the fat kid is the star in The Wackness, which looks pretty good...also because Olivia Thirlby is a cutie.

I like David Fincher. How the hell he fucked the total hell out of Alien 3 will always be in my mind though.

Look at his laurels though:
Zodiac
Seven
Fight Club
and Zodiac.
The Game is pretty solid (haven't seen it in awhile), and Panic Room is a very serviceble thriller, though maybe it suffers from high expectations from a director who is usually more ambitious than a straight ahead thriller.
Plus I think Fincher isn't the director that gave that franchise the biggest skullfucking. That title goes to Pierre (Resurrection), and if we want to go further, everyone idiot involved in the AVP movies.
