The Godfather trilogy, much like The Terminator series must only be remembered for it's first 2 incarnations, and ignored for the 3rd. I love the first 2 Godfather movies. I don't understand the beef w/ number 2 in here, but none the less I enjoyed it.

I also put the American Pie trilogy as well as the Friday trilogy in that category. A lot of people liked American Wedding, but for me, the series only goes up to two, and it's the same with Friday and Next Friday. Friday After Next was just garbage.

+1

I'm a fan of Pacino and DeNiro's characters in Godfather II rather than Godfather. They simply "grew up" as actors imo.

I think that I'm the only one with the beef--if I was 18, I'd think that was hilarious...

The American Pie series has become much like the National Lampoon's movies. I don't think anyone expected much quality beyond the first 3, but the subsequent dvd releases still provide moderate low brow entertainment.

I would say no.

Also, is it really a trilogy?
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Day of the Dead
Land of the Dead
Diary of the Dead
^ that's 5. I enjoyed all of them. I didn't enjoy all equally, but I definitely think they're all worth a watch.

How would you rank them? For me it would be:

Dawn
Night
Land
Day
Diary
