...and working and watching movies at the same time.

And it's really more like 100.

i just watched "super high me."

i was really disappointed. it's just plain not an engaging or interesting documentary. i think it's crappiness stems from three main drawbacks:

1) benson i find to be a very likable guy, but not funny or charismatic. so basically he can't carry a project that isn't executed well.

2) they had this weird concept of spoofing (the fantastic) "super size me" but the format just doesn't work for pot. can one reasonably think that marijuana use is going to have a significant impact on anyone in 30 days? it was this half assed attempt to co-opt the format and none of the tests they used were at all interesting.

3) it was just plain a not well made movie. the pacing was shit. it would drag on where they'd cover way too many days that should have been part of a block, and they monotonously interspersed all these clips of his unfunny standup or him hanging with celebrities. or these pretty halfassed bits about smoke shops and shit. it would be far far faqr more interesting to delve into doug benson as a person and why he smokes so much, or get into some of the arguments about legalization, rather to simply say "ok here's a marijuana business operating... oh wait here come the fed's."

Agreed. Amazing documentary. Everything with the one brother felt like The Wrestler and the stuff with Arnold, particularly when he meets him and they end up in the paper like the opening of Predator, was great.

Someone (Johner?) said one of the brothers has since died but I don't remember which one.

Your opinion has been duly noted.

When someone presents me with an issue, a problem - what I like to do is consider it and not make things worse. It's really quite simple. No analysis needed. Mass consensus not required.
