Miami Vice was horrible. Not even good for a popcorn flick, because there isn't enough action. What I hated most was the camera work during some of the action. The big shootout at the end for example. They must have strapped the camera to a peg legged chihuahua, and had it run around randomly shaking and filming from the ground. Of course ended by a stupid roll and shoot by Jamie Foxx.

It isn't so bad it's funny, and it isn't so cheesy you can laugh at it. It is that perfect type of suck movies rarely achieve.

The role of Sonny is deceptively layered due to the nature of his profession. In order to infiltrate the organization he must legitimately infiltrate Isabella's vulnerability (and her pants). It can't be deceptive because both of them are smart and wise. Essentially he must put his heart up for grabs knowing it can never be fulfilled. Equally Isabella knows she must be careful with Sonny because they are using each other. Then they both become victims to themselves.

I don't see a maverick in Sonny Crockett. He's more like a guy carrying an invisible burden. He'll always be lonely because of it.
