As anyone can tell from looking at my favorites list, I'm a huge Kubrick fan, and as a fan of his, I still hold a grudge against Spielberg for forcing Kubrick to can his Holocaust film. Kubrick was starting principal photography and location scouting for a planned film called The Aryan Papers, and at the same time, Spielberg was starting filming on Schindler's List, prompting Kubrick to yield to Spielberg.
I like Schindler's List, but I think Kubrick deciding not to make The Aryan Papers is one of the greatest losses to film.
