I actually thought it was a pretty decent flick. I disliked the lack of development, but it was one of those short and sweet indy type films that don't give away too much.

it just felt like they ran outta budget and wrapped 30 minutes or so of it up on the last day of shooting

Yeah it did kinda feel like that. I think it was stylistic instead of putting it all out there, it let us do a little assuming.

If I had to watch only 5 movies from the rest of my life, they would be:

1. The Green Mile
2. The Departed
3. Gladiator
4. Lost in Translation
5. Good Will Hunting

ehh,,,could get into it at all. Problem with this film and Alpha Dog - they are based on real situations - but they dont try to be

A - completely accurate in their factual information

or

B - Entertaining or well put together.

So you are left with whiny kids with too much money and priveledge who you dont give a shit about doing something messed up.

From a storytelling point of view, it fails. And if you research the cases, especially in the case of bully) its not that accurate, so it fails again.

Thats how I saw those at least.

I really dislike the director of that movie's style. All his movies creep me out because he seems like a total pedobear.

u know whats messed up - id say about half the people who've seen his stuff agree.

another guy to wach out for is Salva (directed a bunch of flicks, including Powder). He's a convicted pedo - wonder if Powder (the guy from Boondock Saints) has any comments about that.
