movie is a blatant rip off of Battle Royale, which if you havent seen it is quite good. If you dont mind subtitiles.

i have a hard time watching subtitles. movies are such a visual medium i feel like im missing too much by constantly having to read the dialogue.

Guillermo del Toro's The Devils Backbone was a disappointment.

An hour and 40 minutes lost forever is the true horror story.

The Orphanage was better IMO.

Haven't seen either, and to be quite honest, I don't really care to. I had The Orphanage on at one point but it looked like it would suck. Is it really worth the watch?

And I have a feeling you'll like this one, JSN: I've got Wild Strawberries set to record in a week. You mentioned it earlier and I was going through the next couple of weeks on TCM and as soon as I saw it, I set the DVR.

Still got a lot of catching up to do with foreign films, but Bergman seemed like a good place to start and now I'll soon be able to add Wild Strawberries to the films of his I've seen.

Balls of Survivor

I watched this for the first time yesterday. It was actually surprisingly good. A few scenes brought me to laughing tears. I'm also an avid ping pong player though, so some of the sport oriented jokes (albeit VERY few) were humorous to me. Even the way they portrayed some of the moves.

At around 1:24 in length this movie is good for a quick laugh. Don't watch it for indepth storylines or drama...

i had a pretty movie filled weekend...on friday night i watched rambo, decent no frills classic 80's movie....

saturday i saw Shoot em Up with clive owen, very entertaining movie, id recommend it for sure for someone looking to spend an hour and a half and be amused with pretty creative gun fights...

i decided to upgrade my film quality and saw 3:10 to yuma, GREAT movie...not a fan of westerns tbh but this movie was amazing...

after and hour rest i saw BUG with ashley judd, not really what i was expecting as it isnt really a horror movie per say, but pretty intense as far as the relationship between the two "love birds"...

then i saw prob my favorite movie of the weekend(still a toss up with 3:10 to yuma) and saw there will be blood...i thought daniel day lewis' performance was great and the scene with his son near the end was very SAD, great GREAT GREAT movie...sure the score was a little off, but i enjoyed it, just wished id a seen it in the theatres to get a more cinematic view of the landscape, which was like another character...

ill finish off my long weekend of movie seeing with the last die hard movie(never seen any of the previous ones) live free or die young should be an ok flick, not expecting a lot
