Well put.

cameron and scott are the same director for the most part. i think scott is better in two ways though: he simply has more quality work, and i think his best is prolly blade runner, which is better than cameron's best work, which is i'd say aliens or t2.

i also agree with the OG who said scott's films are more nuanced. not that i'd hold either guy up as a top echlon filmmaker by any means. 'gladiator' for example, nice feather in your cap if you're movie maker, but under serious scrutiny- not a great film at all.

Stalker is definitely slow, but whenever I watch it I'm in a trance for the duration of it, so I don't notice the time.

Here's a better discussion than Scott/Cameron (since we all know Scott squeaks that one out ;) ):

Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger?

I'll take Arnold, since he starred in two of my all-time favorite movies (Predator and Terminator 2). However, after remembering all the good/great movies that Sly has been in, I must say that the decision was tougher to make. I guess what puts me on Arnold's side is that I seem to rewatch many of his movies, most recently Total Recall.
