Don't get me wrong, Stalker is worth watching; it's well-written and is visually beautiful, but it's very slow-paced. If you're like me, you'd need to be in the right mood to see it.

Ridley Scott makes better pictures than James Cameron. He's got a better eye and the things he adds to the stories make his films richly textured. He's the better director.

Jim Cameron's style is much more simple and straight foward. He also writes his own material and challenges the technology of making movies. He's more of a pioneer of film.
