i can understand i suppose, the graphics are a wee bit dated. nowadays you can actually get a model/skin patch to make the enemies look great and it beefs the game up a lot, so if you do go through the trouble of tracking down a copy make sure to get that. but to think that it is 'let alone' as scary as the others? while having awesome graphics, doom3 attempted to copy shock2's formula by using audio logs, poorly. i got bored with doom3 very quick and finishing it was a chore. half life 2 was an awesome game, but i wouldn't consider it scary by any means. i hear fear is a good one but you're in for a treat if you think doom3 and hl2 are scary. ;)

trust me, you will love system shock 2. everyone does! i've never played the original system shock and probably never will. it's unnecessary for getting into this one, and very old (1993).

Doom3 is scary to me but it is also pretty boring. I feel no desire to finish it. It's just the same shit over and over again.

HL2 is great though. Less scary but much more fun.

resident evil couldn't be scary because its a cheezy horror movie at best.
its a lot of action.

Condemn is great, real scary.Resident Evil was awesome but It was more like action.Silent Hill those are the scariest games. But it wasn't scary like I would stop playing more or that I would have nightmares,it was like suspense

Scaryest part of resident evil 4 is when your in the pit with four chainsaw weilding crazy bitches, they can so easly cut your head off.
The HL2 level ravenholm is good too, I like the bit with the jumping zombies.
