You fuckers have some big cojones. I finally went halfway through the zombie stage with the gravity gun in HL2. By turning the volume way down. Couldn't take anymore though. I'm gonna try again tomorrow.

I forgot about my Silent HIll 3 moment.

There is a room that starts bleeding, you get locked inside. There is a giant mirror in this room. You notice the mirror stops reflecting back, but you see a frozen image of yourself in the mirror, but you can still run around and shit. Room gets really dark (from too much wall bleeding).

Then all of the sudden the room goes back to normal.

I ran out of my room and sat in the living room for about 5 minutes after that.

I bought silent hill4 and could not get into it. Maybe i should try part 3 or even the earlier ones.

It was the only silent hill game I played. Sometimes the camera angles get damn annoying and you can't see wtf is happening.

Silent Hill 2 is by far the best one of the whole series. The main problem I have with 3 and 4 is that there are too many monsters, so you don't get the same 'alone in the dark' feeling. But 2 is just right.

shock2 came out for PC in '99. the problem is that while loads of other games from that year are still popular today, the developer of shock2 closed down years ago and the game (though universally hailed as one of the best games ever) is really hard to find nowadays.

the rights to it are in limbo and thus the game is 'abandonware'. it used to be freely downloadable, but the site that hosted it has closed down. i think sharing it is quasi-legal at the moment.

i will always keep that little baby zipped up on my hard drive for whenever i want to play it. anyone who has ever missed playing this gem should really try and find it. it's worth it, and it really is a shame that one of the most critically acclaimed games of the past 10 years is so hard to find. it's not just a great scary game, it's a great game all around.

i just wikied system schok 2 and i have a hard time believing that game with those graphics could be scary to adults at this point, let alone as scary as say doom 3, hl2, or fear.

if i get this, should i get system schok and beat that first?

I loved that game , IMO if you did not finish the game already then when the nemesis attack in the story mode you get some good adrenaline rush , and getting an A rank with Nicholai in the mercenaries mode was pretty hard .
