Where you go outside the complex, an explosion goes off that looks like a nuclear bomb. And you see the mushroom cloud slowly, but violently rolling toward you until it engulfs everything. That part was pretty badass. And the very last part when in the helicopter and the girl suddenly gets on board. Also cool.

But those are just two very small parts, totalling about 1 minute in length. Bleh.

yeah..overall it was a pretty straightforward fps with dudes in military uniforms and some annoying little girl popping up every now and then..there wasnt a scary element woven into the core of the gameplay..just a little girl fucking with you every 20 minutes

Resident Evil, the first one, the one in the mansion. That was kinda scary when I played it late at night. The narrow, shadowy hallways, the moaning zombies. When I stopped playing I swore I could still hear the zombies going "uhhhh."

DOOM 3 is FUCKIN SCARY. the first game that scared me shitless was resident evil when i was like 9 or something i bought it without thinkin wtf was gonna happen. the first enteraction with the zombie eating the STAR dude made me shut off the PS haha.

FEAR is the ONLY game that has disturbed me while playing...the night I got it it was about 1 AM when i fired it up. I played for about half an hour and HAD to shut it off because it was eerie as shit man! Very, very cool...kind of a hard game though! I didn't like playing it very much.

Sure its been said but resident evil 2 use to scare me. Yeah fear for me too creates an intense atmosphere.

Resident Evil terrifies me. I played number one up to the point where the you see the zombie eating the agent...and I had to turn it off. I tried Resident Evil 2 and made it to the police station and just returned the game to Blockbuster. I recently picked up RE4 for the Wii...it's alright I guess. No zombies. I fucking hate zombies.

I agree...Silent was very creepy. You're walking in the fog and it's so quiet then all of the sudden a creature comes out and scares you.
Resident Evil 4 is scary just because of the camera angle. You can't quite see everything then a bunch of zombies pop out and before you know it you've overcompensated the movement of your gun and they're gaining on you.
Fear is alright, but it's not that creepy. It's pretty straightforward the whole time. If you kick a can the sound effect if played up to try and scare you. They also use fast appearing enemies or visions to try to get you. It's pretty fun to rent, but that's it.
