Spike TV sent out a presser today, trying to drum up support/interest in their coverage of E3. Nothing in it you won't be bombarded with via TV commercials over the next few days. Buried amongst the hype and hyperbole, however, is some newsy stuff! Stuff like this: "Also, tune in for more world exclusive surprises including something special from id Software and Raven Software". Seeing as we've known for some time that Raven are currently working on the latest entry in id's Wolfenstein series, it seems a safe bet we'll be seeing something about the game during next week's festivities.
Best news i have heard all week. RTCW and RTCW:ET are my favorite online FPS games. If the announcement ends up being RTCW2 i will be a very happy man!
For those that were not around or didnt play the old games you are in for a treat. Forget COD/Halo and all this other garbage online. RTCW2 baby!

With Punkbuster and heavily admin'd servers it wasnt much of an issue at all. Nowhere near as bad as the likes of CS online.
I played mainly in comp so it didnt bother me at all. If RTCW2 comes back i will likely stop playing any other games and play comp RTCW again. Great fun with some mates online and i was one of the top players. Havent felt right playing an FPS game since.

I would play on a sever that had only beach head 24/7. That map was so addictive. Punkbuster sucks. Atleast back then. Theres nothing like jumping though a hole in the ceiling and tourching an entire room of campers with the flame thrower.
The single player was probably the best single player fps i have ever played. Certainly had a unique theme, with the castle and mountains and all.

too bad rtcw2 is probably gonna be another ww2 setting... let it go please devs
no way sof2 was garbage compared to RTCW. Infact sof2 is garbage compared to most games online. It is fine with the level of gore though in singleplayer.

sof2 was one of the best competitive fps games ever. wolf was okay, but lacked tournaments
