Rocky is a total joke, although it falls into the "so bad its good category" I think. What made the Rocky films fun was the quality of the opposition, and for thet alone III & IV were head and shoulders above the rest. I found the other ones to be sanctimonious garbage.

(ps. Stallone as a heavyweight!! That is ludicrous, at his peak I doubt he got over 175lbs considering he was so short)

Damn Ebert chill, its just movies for our entertainment. Yes Stallone prolly wore platform shoes to act but so what they were good movies. I bet ur the guy that loves to go to movies and catch stupid pointless mistakes like "omg look at this garbage, indiana jones was holding that bag in his right hand a scene before and now its in his left." Comic book guy is that you? Sorry...sick, tired and in a cranky mood.

No, Im no that guy at all, but with someone so blatant as a 5'7 170lb guy playing the HW champion!! I just thought it was a stretch. I enjoyed III and IV purely for Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago, but overall Rocky is pretty dire in my view.

Boxing isn't even an integral part of the story in the first two films, if you don't realize that then you should watch Fast and the Furious.

Rocky 5 gets a bad wrap. I hated it when I was younger, but it has grown on me. It tried to have some of the same human elements that made the first 2 Rocky's so memorable. When the story was based around the character's lives not just a 1 1/2 training session for the fight finale. It just didn't succeed as well. It wasn't as good as the first 3, but I rank it over Rocky 4 for sure (which really isn't much of a compliment when you think about it). Watch it and see for yourself. Not saying it is great because it is far from it, it definitely had it's share of cheese, but I don't consider it the complete piece of ass many call it.
