Revolution 4 DS

I've been seeing R4DS on sale on eBay, and it really intrigues me to say the least that it can store a lot of games within it. i'm a little bit hesitant though because for all i know, i could be scammed in the end.

so i'm asking the guys out there who have more knowledgeable in this kind of genre than i am.

1. is the R4DS legal? is it supported by Nintendo itself?
2. how can you store games from it?
3. are the games downloaded from it have the same quality as the games that are sold?
4. is it worth buying?

i hope you guys can help me out. thanks a lot.

1. of course not. why would nintendo support something that lets you download all their games for free.

2. the r4ds cartridge has a slot for a micro SD card (which may or may not be included when you buy the r4, depending on the website you get it from). you take the micro SD card out, put it in a USB adapter, or some other type of adapter that fits your computer (again, may be included with your package, or you can buy any type of adaptor from any computer store). then you download a game off of the various rom sites and just use windows explorer to put them on your micro SD card, the same way youd put a file into any other folder on your PC. when your done, plug the microSD back into the r4ds, thats it.

3. theyre exact copies of the games.

4. of course. i dont play any video games or anything, but I have a DS. the r4ds from the site i got it from included a 1gig microSD card, and USB adapter. the total cost was less than the price of 2 DS games. with this, you can download and try as many different games you want without worrying if you'll be wasting your money them or not. along with the fact that you can get games before theyre even in stores (i downloaded the new zelda game earlier)

1. It is obviously not really legal..
2. You download 'ROMS' which are usually 8-128mb in size (they are EASY to find).
3. Exactly the same quality.
4. If you have a DS you can get unlimited games for the cost of 1 *normal* game. Definitely worth it

ok thanks for the input guys, they really helped me get informed about this. i guess my next questions will be:

1) where can i download these ROMs?
2) how do i save games from R4DS roms? (sorry for being dumb about this. im just about to buy an NDS, meaning i dont have any idea how it works, at all)

just search google for a DS rom site. theyre really easy to find.

and how to save games from roms..? you mean like, just save your progress in a game like you normally would? its the same as it is in the real game. the rom is just an exact copy

The R4DS creates a save file of the rom, hence you can backup your save games and transfer them, etc.

As for sites.. look on torrent websites like www.mininova.org
They have a NDS Rom section.
